Reptile Names

Reptiles suit names with a bit of weight to them — something ancient, elemental, or at least not embarrassing to say at the vet. Myths and natural history have always had good reptile names: Draco, Naga, Basil, Sable. Snakes especially carry names well when the name has some hiss or slide to it — Sylvan, Vesper, Obsidian.

Use the Male or Female filter at the top to narrow it down. Each name comes with a short note on its character. Whether you have a leopard gecko or a corn snake, the name tends to matter more to you than to them — which means you should pick one you actually like saying.
